The purpose of this monk sponsorship program is to provide for a monk's basic necessities during his life at the monastery. The sponsorship monies pay for the cost of food, housing, clothing, study materials, health care and other basic necessities for the monks in the monastery.

There are many Tibetan refugee monks living in India who could use your support. For as little as $10 - 15 a month, you could help these individual monks get the healthcare and books that they need, as well as provide for their basic nutritional needs and living expenses while they pursue their studies.

Your sponsorship money, in its entirety, goes directly to monk that you select; no service fees are deducted.

By supporting a Tibetan refugee monk, you have the opportunity to correspond with the individual monk, if you wish. Several monks who are in need of your support are pictured below. To provide support for one or more of these inviduals, make your check or international money order (Please note: Please be sure to specify international money order -- ordinary money orders cannot be cashed in India) in U.S. dollars payable to the individual monk's name, and mail to:

It is preferable to pay in intervals of 3 or 6 months, or make out one check for a full year of support. The suggested donation is $10 to $15 per month.
